As many of you will know Potteries Hackspace were present at Stoke-on-Trent’s first Comic Conversion.
We were a bit of a last minute add on, so we couldn’t get a table in the main building, however we managed to get plenty of space and power in the Brindley building.
We had plenty of flyers to hand out and a few helping hands to get them out there.
Our table had plenty to show off too, including Ian’s Line Following Robots, Our 3D Printer, Raspberry Pi systems, Arduino badges, Google Cardboard and whatever else I could grab and fit into a box on the day…
Things started off slow, with only a few people visiting our table at first – some saying they struggled to find us, but we were not perturbed and went on a missions to hand out flyers and send people to the table.
Although I would have liked to have got a photo with Craig Charles I can’t complain as almost everyone we spoke to seemed genuinely interested and enthusiastic about what we were doing. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet new people.
We’re really happy with how the day went and looking forward to seeing who turns up in the upcoming weeks.
The crowds didn’t start to die down until it was due to shut so I guess that means it was a success. Roll on next year I say!
