Potteries Hackspace

Let's make something!

Hackspace Meetup in Stoke

Since January we did a soft announce to let people know that we will be meeting up at Wavemaker, a sister project in the City Centre.

Alex at Wavemaker had kindly offered to keep their space in Hanley open late on Tuesday evenings so that we, Potteries Hackspace, could meet there. Big thanks to Alex for making this possible!

This gave us access to their facilities and provide a space in which we can work on projects as well as socialise.

The Wavemaker project has it’s own activities and ambitions, which complements but differs from the the grassroots of our Potteries Hackspace.

Since then, we found a space, took a survey, did our sums and entered into a contract. The upshot of this is that we now have our own space again.

Our newly rented premise, is office space just 1 minute walk down the road from the Wavemaker building.

As of May 1st, The Potteries Hackspace will now be operating from:

Please feel free to visit us on our open night every Tuesday from 7PM. Please let us know in advance so we can let you in.

Here’s our new space:

Potteries Hackspace is a hackspace is a place for people with common interests, often in computers, technology, science or art, can meet, socialise and/or collaborate.

Our aim is to provide and maintain a shared community workspace and equipment, to further our skills and share experience with the community around Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Potteries area.

The best way to get involved is to become part of our community online and join the discussions on our mailing list. We’d love to get to know you, so the easiest way to get started is by introducing yourself to us on the Potteries Hackspace groups mailing list.
